Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers, was born on July 8, 1989 in Paris. At the age of five years old and moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled at the Dragon School. Emma decided to be an actor at age six. For several years she was enrolled in the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing dance, acting and singing. As early as age ten the actress took part in and performed the main role in several Stagecoach School plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) The film adaptation of J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for very first time back in the year 1999. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after 8 auditions, that she had been chosen for these parts. The cast included Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. It beat all previous records in terms of opening day and weekend sales, and it was the most-recorded 2001 movie. The film received praise from reviewers, and so were the performance of three actors. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her outstanding performance. Emma received the Young Artist Award as the Leading Young Actress for a Film. Film.
